An Ghaeilge Sa Bhaile
Molaim go mór sibh as ucht bhur bpáistí a chlárú le Gaelscoil Riada.
I congratulate you on sending your child to a Gaelscoil, as well as providing your child with a high standard of education; you are also exposing your child to a very important part of our culture.
I would encourage you as parent/guardian to bring the language to life at home if at all possible. Using a little word or phrase now and again can make a great contribution to your child’s acquisition of the language. Whatever your level of confidence, incorporating Gaeilge at home from time to time shows your child that the Irish language has a purpose in their daily lives. There is plenty of support available through the school, and from the following Irish language support groups.
